Summary

Supported image processing happens in your browser. Low Quality Image does not receive or store the images you select in the first release. The site has no account system or advertising scripts. It uses Pageview for aggregate traffic measurement and Microsoft Clarity for interaction diagnostics and session insights.

Selecting a file does not, by itself, upload that file to Low Quality Image.

Images and results

When you use a live image tool, the browser handles the workflow locally:

  1. The file picker gives the page temporary access to the image you selected.
  2. The browser decodes the file into memory.
  3. Canvas renders the requested quality, scale, compression, or effect operation.
  4. A temporary object URL displays the result and enables download.
  5. Replacing the file or leaving the page releases temporary references created by the tool.

The current core workflow does not send source images or generated outputs to an application image-upload endpoint. Downloaded results are saved wherever your browser and operating system normally place downloads; that location is controlled by you, not this site.

Accounts, analytics, and advertising

There are no user accounts or advertising scripts in the first release. The site uses two analytics services:

These services load from their own domains and receive the network information normally included with a web request, which may include an IP address and browser or device details. Microsoft Clarity may use first-party and third-party cookies or similar identifiers depending on visitor location, consent status, browser settings, and the project’s Clarity configuration.

The image tools do not pass the selected image file or generated image blob to Pageview or Microsoft Clarity. Analytics are used to understand site usage and improve the interface, not to build an advertising profile of the images you process.

Where consent is legally required, analytics cookies and related storage should only be enabled after the required consent signal. You can also restrict cookies or clear site data through your browser settings. If these practices materially change, this policy and the site implementation must change with them.

Local preferences

The light or dark theme preference may be stored locally by your browser so the interface can remember your choice. That preference does not contain image content. You can clear it with your browser’s site-data controls.

Hosting logs

The static hosting provider and network infrastructure may process ordinary request information needed to deliver and protect the site, such as IP address, requested path, browser user agent, timestamps, response status, and security events. These delivery logs are separate from the local image-processing workflow; they do not contain the image file selected through the tool.

Log retention and access are governed by the infrastructure used to host the domain. Low Quality Image does not use those logs for behavioral advertising or cross-site tracking.

The privacy guarantee described here applies to the pages and current tool code on lowqualityimage.im. A link to another website, a browser extension, a modified browser, malware on the device, or a look-alike domain has its own behavior and is outside this site’s control. Check the address bar before selecting a sensitive file.

The browser may also provide built-in services such as download history, safe-browsing checks, translation, or cloud synchronization. Those features are controlled by your browser or device settings.
